OHC Senior Centers offer a safe, fun gathering place for people age 60 and over. Everyone is welcome!
Depending on the Center you visit, a wide of range of services are available:
- trips and outings
- meals, coffee, and snacks
- fellowship and conversation
- sports and games, from Wii Bowling to bingo and pool, including tournaments
- yoga, cardio, and other forms of exercise
- lending libraries and media rooms
As one visitor told us, “I like to come for coffee and doughnuts. There are people of my own age to talk to, and it’s fun!”
The Senior Centers operated under OHC serve 175,000 meals a year from our kitchens! Sometimes older people find it difficult to cook for themselves, don’t enjoy eating alone, or just don’t bother to eat a balanced diet. A tasty hot lunch cooked by a chef and enjoyed in the company of friendly people can make a big difference in the health and happiness of senior members of the community.
The Centers also serve as information hubs for the community and give older citizens access to computers, exercise equipment, and other amenities. Check each center’s monthly newsletter for upcoming events in your area.
OHC is a partner with and receives partial funding from Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas.
