General Information

After school and summer programs at the OHC Centers provide healthy food in a safe, comfortable environment for children in Northwest Arkansas.

According to the Department of Agriculture, Arkansas ranks second in the nation for food insecurity and first for “very low food security.” Nearly 20% of Arkansans experience some uncertainty about where their next meal is coming from, and 28.4% of children face food insecurity.

Getting enough healthy food to eat is essential for mental and physical development. Kids who go hungry are more likely to fail in school, less likely to be able to concentrate, and more susceptible to diseases.

OHC Offers wholesome after school snacks, lunches, and other special nutrition services at various times of year. Contact your local office to learn about the current opportunities.
