Pieces of Me Job Development

In addition to being a nice place to shop, Pieces of Me is also a job development and training project created by the Office of Human Concern, Inc.

Designed to assist the recently unemployed in re-entering the workforce, Pieces of Me Job Development goes beyond running a cash register.  Participants gain experience in what it takes to operate a business: inventory, purchasing, staffing, stocking and display of merchandise, and more.

Pieces of Me Job Development takes participants through a four-month cycle which includes working in the store, as well as evaluation and addressing of any remedial educational needs.

Upon completion of the four month cycle, participants will have gained valuable skills, enabling each to seek full-time employment within their community.
