Pieces of Me Discount Store

Funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, PIECES OF ME Discount Store is the method of providing a job development and training program, to provide / enhance participants job skills.

Participants are assessed upon enrollment to determine any remedial educational needs, and attend classroom sessions to meet those needs. Each participant also assists in the store, learning cashiering, staffing, inventory, stocking, and other aspects of operating a small retail business. After completing a four-month education/training cycle, each participant is assessed again to document progress made.

Participants will receive support in job search efforts and referrals to area employers.
